The Civic Life Project (CLP) is working hard to make civics life, to put the tools and resources in the hands of young people, so they get engaged and stay engaged. CLP's marquee event, the Youth Film Challenge, is the perfect civic learning opportunity for young people. Not only is it accessible to all 15-25-year-olds regardless of socio-economic standing, schooling, or geographic location, but also it's an activity that can be done in or out of school. Those who participate in the Film Challenge can choose an issue that matters to them, putting them in the driver's seat of their own civics education.
As the world confronts threats to democratic ideals, it is increasingly important to nurture, equip, and educate the next generation of leaders.
The Civic Life Project was formed by Emmy Award documentary filmmakers and veteran educators as a unique educational initiative to inspire high school and college students to learn about civics and to actively participate in the democratic process through digital storytelling, and voting.
